Leidos Defense Systems is actively seeking a Junior Configuration Manager to join our team at the FISTA in Lawton, OK to support a variety of Air Defense, Autonomy and Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) software programs.
The selected individual will track product design changes and the effects on multiple systems inheriting reusable software components. Duties may include ensuring configuration identification by authoring and reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations and preparing deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met. Become a part of a team where you'll know that the system that you help develop and support are keeping deployed warfighters safe on the battlefield as well as aiding in the defense of our nation's critical infrastructure from foreign adversaries.

Primary Responsibilities
  • This position involves working collaboratively with a local and remote software team that includes product owner, technical leadership, and other engineers.
  • Communicates with peers across multiple software teams to explain facts, basic analysis, processes, and practices related to configuration management and software dependencies.
  • Guiding others through transformation processes; this includes identifying stakeholders, assessing the impact, providing relevant information at the appropriate cadence, and monitoring implementation.
  • Implementing procedures to manage document creation, revision, distribution, and retention throughout their lifecycle.
  • Monitoring and inspecting products, processes, or services to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing requirement changes including user requirements, acceptance criteria, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Understanding the needs, concerns, and expectations of stakeholders. Develop strategies to ensure positive relationships and successful achievement of project objectives.
  • Identifying core messages, target groups, and communication channels to convey key takeaways and influence perceptions or behaviors.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Aviation Technology, or related field) and 2 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 0-2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve conflict in a diverse team or between teams.
  • Must be able to aid in troubleshooting and isolating software issues by understanding the product and using scrum ceremonies to negotiate solutions.
  • Ability to embrace servant leadership in soft-power situations with a mindset to remove impediments from the agile team to increase velocity.
  • Must have a strong sense of ownership and drive in digging into complex problems without direct supervision.
  • Must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Lawton, OK area.
  • Must be a US citizen and can obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active/recent security clearance.
  • Experience working with or on an agile software team (Scrum) using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience in supporting safety critical applications such as flight test, weapons system training, or fires applications.
  • Experience in a Scrum Master role.
  • Interest in technical contribution to software development.
  • Comp/TIA Security+ or equivalent certification.

Pay Range: Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
