Description
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing large OEM accounts, fostering strong customer relationships, and driving business growth. In this role, you will partner with OEMs to identify needs for instrumentation and controls while serving as the primary customer contact, ensuring a seamless experience from pre- to post-production.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships while pursuing new business opportunities within the current customer base.
- Collaborate across all levels of the organization to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure seamless service.
- Address and escalate customer complaints, driving resolution within the organization.
- Provide professional, responsive, and courteous customer communication (verbal and written), ensuring responses within 24 hours.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of product options, applications, and industry trends.
- Monitor customer forecasts, proactively identifying major shifts and collaborating with sales, engineering, and production teams to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Utilize internal resources to address complex technical inquiries when necessary.
- Maintain customer communication records in the CRM system.
- Prepare quotations and address customer inquiries before order placement.
- Determine pricing and delivery timelines for specific items.
Qualifications
Education
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Account Management, Sales, or Business Development, working with large OEM customers.
- Travel may be required, including customer visits and attendance at trade shows.
Experience and Skills
- Ability to perform work under supervision and with self-direction, always with a sense of urgency.
- Project Management experience, a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft products. Experience in SaleCube, DAS, Oracle JDE, and Demantra, Power BI, CRM Tools, preferred.
- Basic knowledge of legal documents such as NDA's, Contracts and LOI's, a plus.
