We are looking for an experienced R&D Manager to lead product development and innovation for a growing cosmetics manufacturer. This role requires 7-12 years of hands-on experience in formulation, testing, and product launch cycles, especially in skincare, personal care, or makeup categories.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of new cosmetic formulations from concept through production
- Manage product testing, stability studies, and ingredient compatibility evaluations
- Work closely with the regulatory team to ensure compliance with cosmetic regulations (FDA, EU, etc.)
- Oversee scale-up trials and provide technical guidance to production teams
- Analyze market trends and collaborate with marketing and sales to align development goals
- Manage and mentor a small team of formulation scientists or lab technicians
Qualifications:
- 7-12 years of experience in cosmetic R&D or formulation development
- Strong knowledge of raw materials, skin biology, and product performance testing
- Experience leading cross-functional projects from R&D through commercialization
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field preferred
