Kubernetes Engineer

As a Kubernetes Engineer at Nirmata, you will play a key role in operation and lifecycle management of Nirmatas cloud-native environment delivering SaaS services to customers. You will be implementing necessary tools and processes to deliver a highly available, secure, performant and compliant global SaaS service. You will be collaborating with development, operations and customer success teams to deliver the right solution for Nirmata customers. Your areas of responsibility will span managing and governing SaaS Kubernetes environments at Nirmata and with its customers. For these environments you will be working on security, performance and availability, monitoring and site reliability engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with Fortune 500 customers. Additionally, you will serve as the go-to expert for all technical aspects of Nirmata
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Nirmata SaaS and customer environments
• Provide design and operational solutions to scale Kubernetes and other container technologies within customer environments
• Manage customer escalations and work with engineering teams to resolve critical issues
• Educate customers on technical knowledge and update technical documentation
• Build tools and automation for smooth deployment of technical processes
• Assist with scoping efforts for deployments and new integrations
• Maintain current technical knowledge of relevant technologies, including Nirmata, Kubernetes, virtualization, converged infrastructure, and storage networks
• Provide product feedback to engineering teams based on customer requirements
• Document best practices in developing and deploying Nirmata solutions
• Act as a front-line technical resource for customer questions and a liaison between customers and internal teams

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containers and Linux operating systems
• Experience in building and lifecycle management of Kubernetes environments
• Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related field
• 5+ years of professional experience
• Experience with DevOps methodologies, tools, and automation
• Proficiency in shell scripting or Python
• Ability to diagnose complex technical problems and provide solutions
• Broad knowledge in other technical areas to manage complex integration efforts

Skills:

• Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to support and manage Kubernetes environments and applications in public and/or private cloud infrastructure, storage, and cloud networking
• Has experience in DevOps methodologies, tools, and automation
• Linux OS administration and management skills
• Automation skills with shell scripting or python
• Sufficient experience with networking protocols and security best practices for cloud environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Customer relationship management and account planning skills
• Ability to leverage AI for coding and troubleshooting
