We are seeking a Level 2 Landscape Architect / Designer to join our boutique design studio. This role is ideal for a creative and technically skilled professional who is ready to take ownership of key aspects of the design process and contribute to the overall vision of our projects.

Position Overview

As a Level 2 Landscape Architect / Designer, you will be responsible for managing specific components of the design process with minimal oversight. You will play a key role in developing design solutions, producing technical documentation, and collaborating with studio architects and designers to ensure cohesive project outcomes. This position requires a balance of creativity, problem-solving, and technical expertise to help bring visionary landscapes to life.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Project Execution
  • Own and execute key aspects of the landscape design process for assigned projects, from concept development to detailed design.
  • Develop high-quality design solutions that align with project goals, site conditions, sustainability principles, and budget constraints.
  • Prepare landscape plans, sections, elevations, and illustrative graphics to communicate design intent.
  • Assist in creating and refining conceptual site layouts, planting plans, and material selections.
  • Work with the project team to ensure design consistency and feasibility throughout development.

Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with Level 3 Landscape Architects, Designers, and Principal Architects to refine and enhance overall project designs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of landscape elements.
  • Participate in design meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews to contribute insights and innovative ideas.
  • Assist in presenting design concepts to clients and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

Technical & Documentation Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate construction drawings, details, and specifications to guide project implementation.
  • Utilize software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, and Rhino to develop visual presentations and technical documents.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to assist in project execution and troubleshoot design challenges.
  • Ensure that design solutions comply with local codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or design.
  • Strong design sensibility with a passion for creating meaningful outdoor spaces.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, Rhino, or similar design tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving project needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a dynamic team environment.


Salary Description

$85,000, additional compensation based on exp
