Lab Test Engineer

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What youll do:

• Work within Archers various integrated labs to plan and execute test
• Utilize lab test equipment and Archers simulation environment to setup test cases, validate system requirements, and investigate issues
• Collaborate with aircraft system engineers to develop test plans and procedures
• Assist in the coordination of integrated lab test scheduling
• Develop and maintain integrated test lab operating procedures

What you need:

• Bachelors degree is Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in aircraft system integration and test
• Experience using lab test equipment (Scopes, Meters, and Sensors) for data acquisition and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and operation
• Development and/or execution of aircraft system verification and/or validation procedures
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, A429, Serial (RS-485/RS-422/RS-232), Ethernet
• Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with HIL and/or real-time simulation environments
• Knowledge of Python scripting language

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
