The Los Angeles County Office of Education is seeking highly qualified and self-motivated individuals that are interested in legal research, critical thinking, supervising, and advising others on legal practices.
The position oversees the Labor Relations Unit and provides assistance, analyses, and advice to upper-level management in the specialized field of public sector employer-employee relations and labor laws.
The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following
Knowledge:
Experience: Five years of experience in personnel management, arbitration, employee discipline, or closely related field, including one year of lead experience in contract development, labor relations, contract administration, and negotiations.
Equivalency Provision: A Juris Doctorate degree may substitute for two years of the required non-lead experience in personnel management, arbitration, employee discipline, or closely related field.
Additional Requirements: A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites may be required.
Hybrid remote schedules may be available.
Selection ProcessCandidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of Training and Experience Evaluation and Technical Interview.
