This position will be based at the new and innovative acute care behavioral health facility, which opened in late 2023. SummitStone has the privilege of partnering closely with Larimer County on this venture. This voter-approved facility provides licensed, equitable and culturally relevant care and treatment to individuals in crisis with mental health and/or substance use disorders.

What You'll Do:
Responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to effectively manage the operations of SHP's bed-based and outpatient laboratory services that perform moderately complex testing, including both CLIA-waived (simple, low-risk) and non-waived (more complex, regulated) tests for patients receiving care. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining quality control, and managing lab staff and operations efficiently. Perform diagnostic laboratory analysis including specimen preparation as needed, keep records and report findings of laboratory tests as needed, and perform phlebotomy when necessary. This position will demonstrate a commitment and provide leadership for SummitStone Health Partner's values by delivering visionary and operational leadership while fostering trust, collaboration, and a diverse and inclusive environment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or medical technology required
More than five years of experience working in a lab setting required
More than three years of experience leading a team required
More than three years of experience managing a lab in an acute care setting strongly preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Colorado driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required
CPR and First Aid certifications required
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) credentials from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) preferred

The typical hiring range for this position is $90,480 to $108,576, based on relevant years of experience.
