As a Construction Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction projects and contribute building communities in Ottawa. The shift will be Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Must have a willingness to travel and reliable transportation.

The Role
- Perform debris sweeping and scraping as needed
- Open/close houses for trade access, securing windows daily
- Coordinate winter protection for concrete pours and frost prevention
- Aid builders per Project Manager's requests
- Handle exterior garbage collection
- Manage house-specific paperwork placement
- Install and secure floor protection
- Assist in unlocking/locking homes daily (ensuring window closure)
- Execute safety rail installation/removal
- Conduct concrete repairs and pressure washing as necessary
- Collaborate on concrete cutlines and winter heat programs
- Ensure compliance for Frame and Occupancy Inspections by the City
- Organize and update task lists rigorously
- Perform additional duties, as required
What You Bring
- Safety-first mindset.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour and lift 50 pounds
- Ability to adhere to standardized work
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Certified in Working At Heights
- Ability to commit to the work schedule with punctuality
