As the Lead Analyst, Financial Systems - Oracle EPBCS, you will leverage your Oracle EPM Cloud skills to support the day-to-day administration of the planning tool. In addition, this role will be responsible for managing metadata, providing production support, creating/delivering end user training, understanding business processes, gathering business requirements, and assisting implementation teams to deliver solutions.

What you'll do on a typical day:

Oversee the annual planning, monthly forecasting, and close process activities from a system perspective, applying business expertise and functional knowledge in administering Oracle PBCS.
  • Owns EPBCS metadata configuration and maintenance
  • Designs, develops, executes, and monitors system enhancements, including custom forms, templates, reports, dashboards, calculations, and business rules to optimize the platform for financial processes and decision-making
  • Manage batch data load processes
  • Manage application support - troubleshoot and resolve challenges faced by business end users to perform root cause analysis


Responsible for design and development of minor application enhancements:
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams and solicits input from stakeholders and end users to gather functional business requirements
  • Build application artifacts (forms, rules, reports, etc.)
  • Manage code and object migrations across environments (DEV, TEST & PROD)
  • Develops Enhancement testing and maintains comprehensive system documentation


Responsible for managing other activities, but not limited to:
  • Oversee security maintenance and audits to ensure compliance with all appropriate regulations
  • Manage regular testing of monthly software updates from Oracle to ensure optimal functionality and provide clear communication of changes
  • Provides training and support to end users, driving system adoption and proficiency
  • Liaise between software vendor and end user to troubleshoot system issues


What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 4 years' experience administering Oracle Planning solutions
  • Experience as an Oracle EPBCS and Essbase techno-functional expert
  • High proficiency in Smart View and the Planning Reports module
  • Understanding of EPM Automate, business rules, and Groovy scripting
  • Knowledge of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Understanding of currency translation
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to various business partners
  • Strong drive to seek continuous improvement in technology and processes
  • Ability to think critically and leverage available resources

It'd be great if you also have:
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Successful in full life cycle development of Hyperion Planning or EPBCS solutions including system requirements, design, build, implementation, and documentation
  • Experience with other Oracle cloud EPM solutions including Profitability and Cost Management, Narrative Reporting, Financial Consolidation and Close Account Reconciliation, Enterprise Data Management
  • Knowledge of information technology functional areas, including operations, pricing, project management, human resources, and information systems operations
