EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A minimum of an Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field and 4 or more years related experience and/or training is preferred; or 5-8 years of related experience without a degree.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. All of these tasks will be performed in English.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to use Microsoft Office, with specific emphasis on Excel, Word to generate reports-to generate macros and programs for use at various manufacturing facilities. Ability to work with Outlook, databases and Power point presentations on the computer.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Drivers License and Passport is required. Ability to travel up to 15% of the time or as directed is expected. Prior experience in GMP is an essential requirement for the position.

The employee must also be able to handle various chemicals in a laboratory setting and be able to work with large-scale machinery to produce prototype products. A wide variety of chemicals will be used and the employee is expected to understand, utilize, and enforce proper safety.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to low.

- Be knowledgeable in all the analysis performed by the QA Lab Technicians, QA Senior Lab Technicians and QA Chemists.
- Act as the back up to the Lab Technicians, Chemists regarding analytical testing and QA Manager and/or Director regarding product release.
- Assist with laboratory troubleshooting.
- knowledgeable in the use of HPLC and GCMS.
- Prepare laboratory reports, as needed.
- Trend lab data, report lab KPIs in cooperation with QA Manager and/or Director of QA
- Support the qualification, calibration and validation of new and existing laboratory instruments.
- Supervise the work of raw material alternate approvals. If needed, the support of the R&D can be solicited.
- Support the stability program.
- Maintain diverse data bases, as needed.
- Support internal auditing program
- Support the customer complaint program
- Perform water analysis testing to support the Marketing and/or Sales teams
