- Travel will be required between Houston, TX and Owensboro, KY. At least one week or more a quarter.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver cloud solutions using AWS and other public cloud services and as a key member of IT Continuous Delivery Services team to ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services to cloud
- Educate business and technology stakeholders on value propositions of cloud and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the technology community
- Oversee architecting and design of complex cloud solutions for the organizational business units
- Serve as cloud SME for the business and technology stakeholders
- Work closely with development team to create/maintain an automated CI/CD software pipeline
- Deliver end-to-end deployment automation, monitoring and infrastructure management in a cloud environment.
- Partner with various functional teams across the business and IT departments to support strategic enterprise vision and design for cloud consumption
- Support Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Information Technology related audits
- Partner with engineering delivery teams to research, design and implement the appropriate technology needed to support the application portfolio
- Partnership with the application architecture, network, and security engineering team is critical to ensure that the infrastructure architectural principals support the requirements and needs to automate
- Ensure compliance of architectural and engineering policies, standards and procedures
- An educator to peer staff employees on DevOps processes and help drive increased adoption of these processes throughout the IT organization
Formal Education and Certification:
- College or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems or related field of study, and/or 10+ years equivalent work experience.
- Certifications applicable to the position are desirable
Knowledge and Experience - Required
- 7+ years of in-depth, hands-on experience in architecture and designing highly complex, distributed applications using AWS micro services
- 7+ years experience with delivery of cloud resources via automation and DevOps, CI/CD
- Extensive experience with Bash scripting, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, JSON, YAML, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS, CloudFormation, GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, and CircleCI
- Experience with cloud networking, security, and compliance aspects
- Ability to learn cloud native services and do the proof of concepts as part of the solutions
- Developing templates or scripts to automate everyday infrastructure or operations functions
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available environment
- Experience leading/managing a DevOps team
- Experience with Agile Software Development methods
