Our Data Engineering team is at the forefront of building scalable, high-performance data infrastructure that powers our products and insights. We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer & Architect who is both a hands-on expert and a strategic thinker-someone who can design, build, and lead while fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
What You'll Do
- Architect, build, and optimize our next-generation data platform to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, promoting best practices in coding, design patterns, and data architecture.
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using modern data processing frameworks and orchestration tools.
- Own the end-to-end data infrastructure, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and governance.
- Champion DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices for data engineering solutions.
- Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, especially in Generative AI and its applications in mental health (a plus).
- Work cross-functionally with product, analytics, and engineering teams to ensure data accessibility and reliability.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience leading data engineering projects, including architectural decision-making and team leadership.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and Git for data processing and software development.
- Deep understanding of data structures, design patterns, and scalable data architectures.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
- Proficiency in pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster) and data integration frameworks (Airbyte, dbt).
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and real-time data streaming.
- A coaching mindset with a passion for sharing knowledge and upskilling the team.
