What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, technology, or related field required
- Six (6) years of experience in utilities generation and/or distribution desired
- Experience with electrical utility equipment
- Experience conducting root cause analysis
- Experience with NFPA 70, NESC, IEEE Power and Energy, and other applicable standards
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical , and equipment arrangement drawings
- A valid driver's license
Preferred:
- Registered Professional Engineer or ability to be registered within six months of hire date
Skills Needed:

- Demonstrated ability to act as a liaison between multiple parties
- Ability to:
- evaluate and solve complex technical problems utilizing creativity and ingenuity
- work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
- produce project justifications
- Office and engineering computer skills with the ability to learn new computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electrical power analysis software, generative artificial intelligence, process historian databases
- Exposed to heat, noise, dust, and hazardous areas around machinery, chemicals, etc. in utility plants and utility distribution infrastructure
- Must be able to:
- climb stairs, ladders, and work from heights of up to 100 feet
- enter equipment manholes and confined spaces
Preferred:
- Thorough knowledge in the functional operation of a Power Plant, as well as engineering consultation
- Proven understanding of electrical engineering design and construction techniques as they relate to power plants and utilities distribution
- Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
