Qualifications:HD Microsystems has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an interim Quality Leader based in Parlin, NJ. This role will be responsible for leading a group of 3 quality engineers and 1 supplier quality engineer.The quality leader role is intended to lead a team that ensures the HDM business is upholding all aspects of the quality policy, quality management system (QMS), and ISO9001 certification requirements. This includes working closely with HDM's customers to ensure their needs/issues are addressed, driving the current quality roadmap strategy, and working cross functionally with other departments in the business to drive and support quality expectations.HD MicroSystems (HDM) is a 50-50 joint venture of Resonac and DuPont. HD MicroSystems is the world's largest supplier of polyimide and PBO precursor chemistries specifically engineered for microelectronic applications. Applied and cured by our customers, these materials transform into polyimide and PBO films with unique end use properties. HDM's product line is broad, consisting of photosensitive coatings, standard non-photosensitive coatings, high temperature adhesives, optically clear coatings, and a full line of complementary ancillary products.Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required5+ years combined experience in manufacturing, Quality or Continuous Improvement Engineering is required. Semiconductor industry or related experience desirableBachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required5+ years combined experience in manufacturing, Quality or Continuous Improvement Engineering is required. Semiconductor industry or related experience desirable3+ years people leadership experience is requiredExperience with External Communications to Vendors and/or Customers is requiredDemonstrated understanding of statistical techniques including DOE, Control Charts, Gage R&R, ANOVA is requiredAbility to oversee a team and make good engineering judgments on their work is requiredRequired to have proficient computer skills such as advanced Excel and Powerpoint useExperience using a statistical software program (eg, Minitab, JMP) is requiredDemonstrated experience with risk tools such as C&E and FMEAs is preferredPolyimide related knowledge, analytical and material characterization techniques, and results interpretation skills are preferredExperience working and managing projects in a global environment (both internal and external) with communications across cultures is preferred6-sigma project certification is preferred.Responsibilities:Provides direction to the team on priorities and ensures established timelines are metReviews documentation that will be sent to a customer to ensure content is consistent with strategy and desired message (Complaint resolution, data packages, etc)Conducts appropriate performance management within team as neededReviews customer requests to determine appropriate response level and interacts with customers and suppliers as needed.Drives existing goals within the team and holds accountableSupports supplier quality engineer to resolve raw material quality or supplier issuesLeads established meetings within the quality organization framework (Ex. Weekly quality meeting, etc)Ensures required quality related materials are prepared for repeating meetings (Ex. Tier 1 customer update meetings, supply review, etc)Works with global counterpart to ensure site alignment on customer requests, projects, etcUpdates quality led KPI's and drives improvementWorks with manufacturing, supply chain, sales, R&D, and other HDM organizations to support quality initiatives or requested informationLeads ISO surveillance and customer auditsProvides direction and drives organization quality incident reporting and root cause analysisSupports SPC initiatives within the manufacturing and quality control labsEnsures team manages customer complaints, audits, and checklist requestsDetermine qualification plan scope and act as final approver for Quality related to change management
