Job Description

The Lead Financial Analyst, Solar & Fypon will be the primary finance business partner to the Solar & Fypon, General Manager. This role partners with the GM to drive pro-active actionable insights to help influence strategy and create long-term shareholder value. This role will also work closely with Operations Finance and other business partners to support overall strategy and P&L management for the Solar and Fypon businesses. A strong background in business partnership, P&L management and data driven decision making is required. This role has no direct reports and will drive results through coordination with cross-functional teams.

RESPONSIBLIITIES:
  • Financial stewardship of the Fypon & Solar P&L with close partnership across finance, controllership, and other key business partners.
  • Provide financial support to the General Manager and their category management team while working cross-functionally to drive profitable growth and help shape strategic priorities & initiatives.
  • Become a subject matter expert of the category and develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market.
  • Review the P&L monthly with the General Manager and assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly presentations to explain variances and create corrective action plans.
  • Partner with sales, RGM, and channel teams to evaluate new business proposals and opportunities.
  • Work closely with sales to drive accuracy in sales forecasting.
  • Own new product financials from start to finish while working with cross-functional teams.
  • Establish and report on KPI's to the General Manager and leadership team to drive results.
  • Support annual budget and strategic planning process for the business.
  • Additional projects as assigned by the General Manager or finance leader.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of relevant financial analysis experience required. 10+ years of experience preferred.
  • Experience participating in a strategic and financial planning process.
  • Strong reporting, analysis, and forecasting process ownership.
  • Successful contribution in cross functional teams, especially those involving sales, marketing, and operations personnel.
  • Strong experience with preparing analysis for presentations at senior levels.
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and business partners.
  • Track record of process leadership and process improvement.
  • Must possess strong communication (oral and written) and analytical skills with ability to communicate detailed analysis into relevant, clear, and concise information leading to actionable initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Excel modeling and data management as well as PowerPoint
  • Deliver agreed upon objectives with high integrity and in a sustainable manner.
  • Microsoft application skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)


Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $93,000 USD - $143,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
