Summary
The Office of Information Technology is seeking a highly motivated and competent professional to join our team as a Lead Project Manager. Primary responsibilities include delivering technology related projects in an academic healthcare environment, while contributing to our organizational project management practice. Strong organization and communication skills are needed as projects require collaboration in delivering value to all levels of the College. The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to lead weak-matrixed project teams in delivery of promised benefits on-time and on-budget within agreed-to scope.
This position will both execute project and support other project management team members. They will need to have a broad experience base to draw upon, and have a solid grasp of project management fundamentals. We are looking for an experienced professional, an individual who will arrive day-one with an understanding of how projects are delivered successfully and with enough experience to know common "gotcha" pain-points.

Job Duties
- Leads project teams in delivery of technology project efforts. Contributes to continuous improvement activities in project management methodology and execution. Leads IT initiatives, delivering promised value and benefits to college stakeholders.
- In executing this leadership role, the Lead Project Manager will engage with various college stakeholder in gathering requirements, obtaining support, enabling change and managing their expectations. This role will own and drive all aspects of project delivery, from initial chartering through project close-out. The Lead Project Manager understands the importance of gauging the impact their project(s) have on the college community and engages organizational change management resources / tools as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree. Four years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- Six years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Experience leading projects of varying sizes within a matrixed team environment is essential, as are strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master, along with proficiency in project planning and management tools (e.g., MS Project, DevOps), service delivery systems (e.g., ServiceNow), and Microsoft's O365 productivity suite (Teams, Teams Voice, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
