Lead Java/AWS Developer
We are looking for a skilled Lead Java/AWS Developer tojoin our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications. You will work on both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
Location: Plano, TX.
Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
The candidate must be at the office for 5 days.
Responsibilities
Involve in various phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work in a highly dynamic Agile environment
Design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices
Hands on AWS experience in EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, AWS Aurora Postgres, AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog, AWS Security groups, AWS MSK(Kafka)
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
Adds value to team delivery and works with team to complete tasks to high quality and actively learns new skills.
Qualifications
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
10+ years of software development experience
Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Invest API, Oracle, Kafka
Experienced with AWS cloud technologies (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, terraform). AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification preferred.
Good to have experience in any of the rule's engine (Ex. Drools)
Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins
Strong communication skills and experienced in delivering projects in Scrum agile methodology.
Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving
Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail oriented.
Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
