Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer - Automation with 8 to 12 years of experience in managing and optimizing network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Terraform, Ansible, GCP, and various networking technologies. This role involves working in a hybrid model with rotational shifts. The candidate will contribute to the efficiency and security of our network systems supporting our consumer lending domain.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain the office network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Having hands on experience in IaC technology (Terraform and Ansible) and Cloud Networking
  • Oversee the configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems and applications.
  • Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, VPN's, and other security measures.
  • Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance, and support.
  • Manage and optimize network infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of GCP networking solutions.
  • Provide expertise in network routing configuration and infrastructure.
  • Ensure the security and efficiency of network systems including Juniper and Cisco technologies.
  • Implement and manage wireless networking solutions with Juniper and Cisco Meraki.
  • Configure and maintain network switches routers and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support consumer lending operations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations and procedures.
  • Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and best practices.
  • Conduct regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
  • Participate in rotational shifts to ensure 24/7 network support.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and security of the company's network infrastructure.

  • Must have strong experience with Terraform and Ansible.
  • Must have expertise in GCP networking solutions.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of network routing configuration and infrastructure.
  • Must have experience with Juniper and Cisco networking technologies.
  • Must have experience with wireless networking solutions.
  • Must have experience with network switches routers and firewalls.
  • Must have experience in the consumer lending domain.
  • Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Nice to have experience with network performance monitoring tools.
  • Nice to have experience with network security best practices.
  • Nice to have experience with network assessments and audits.
  • Nice to have experience with technical support and guidance.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $73,350 - $133,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
