| What we are looking for

Reporting to the Director, Talent, the Lead, Organizational Development is accountable for developing and leading enterprise-wide programs and initiatives that enhance organizational performance, build management and leadership effectiveness, and enable cultural transformation. This role partners with business leaders and the broader people team to shape talent programs and foster a high-performance, inclusive work environment. The Lead, Organizational Development serves as an advisor on complex talent development challenges leveraging data-driven insights, change management methodologies, and leadership coaching to build a future-ready workforce. The Lead, Organizational Development will also play a critical role in ensuring alignment with the broader talent management strategy and roadmap.

| A day in the life

Your responsibilities as the Lead, Organizational Development includes but are not limited to:

Lead high impact OD initiatives at the enterprise level:

  • Designing and leading enterprise-wide initiatives that advance Payments Canada's organizational goals and are in alignment with the broader talent management strategy and practice.


Partner directly with leaders to develop future talent:

  • Develop effective partnerships with organizational leaders that foster linkages between business objectives and talent development programs. Serve as a trusted expert, providing insight on organizational and talent development opportunities and practices.


Drive meaningful change in a dynamic public-purpose organization:

  • Working with peers and stakeholders, identify synergies, leading practices and efficiencies in support of our talent journey.


| What you need to be successful

  • Masters degree preferred in Organizational Development / Industrial Psychology, Human Resources or other related field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in OD consulting and program development and management, change management, Human Resources strategy or related fields, with experience working at the enterprise level
  • Certifications preferred: Prosci (Change Management), Coaching certification
  • Strong executive presence and demonstrated influencing skills at the executive level
  • Proficiency with executive and management development strategies and tools (engagement surveys, design thinking, leadership assessments)
  • Knowledge of adult education theories, practices, and trends
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex organizational data
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating OD interventions at scale
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in drafting and delivering reports, presentations, and information to executive levels as well as other internal and external audiences
  • Technically proficient with advanced knowledge and experience in Google Workspace and Dayforce.
  • Eligibility to successfully complete background checks that will be carried out by Payments Canada, including criminal, credit, identity, employment, and education checks.


| Salary range
  • Based on qualifications and experience: $112,364 and $140,455
