Lead Physical Therapist

Are you ready to lead and inspire our team of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy professionals?

We're searching for a passionate and skilled Lead Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team full-time. In this pivotal role, you will provide direct patient care to individuals with physical disabilities or functional limitations across various settings-helping them regain strength and mobility. As a leader, you'll oversee Quality Assurance for PT/OT documentation, educate patients and families, and serve as a community liaison promoting BrightStar Care's services through outreach and education.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop Therapy Programs: Plan therapy for neuromusculoskeletal patients as prescribed by a physician, focusing on posture, gait, range of motion, muscle testing, and functional assessments.
Administer Physical Agents: Apply treatments like electrotherapy, heat/cold therapy, hydrotherapy, based on protocols and medical history.
Facilitate Therapeutic Exercises: Support muscle reeducation and gait training using various equipment and techniques.
Manual Therapy Techniques: Perform soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, and myofascial release.
Monitor and Adjust Treatments: Evaluate patient progress and modify therapy plans accordingly.
Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records, submit assessments promptly, and oversee PT/OT note Quality Assurance.
Patient Education: Guide patients and families on therapy methods, ensuring accessibility for those struggling to understand.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work with the rehabilitative team to assess and report on patient progress.
Continuous Learning: Share innovative treatment methods and conduct in-service teaching.
Performance Assessments: Lead 90-day and annual evaluations for Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists.
On-Call Support: Provide 24/7 assistance as part of the on-call rotation.
Travel for Client Visits: Travel up to 45 miles for client care, utilizing a company vehicle when available.

If you hold a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, are licensed in the state of California, and have a minimum of 6 months of experience, we'd love for you to lead the way in shaping lives through rehabilitation. Your expertise in anatomy, kinesiology, and therapy techniques will help patients achieve their goals and grow professionally within our dynamic team.
