Job Description:

This role will be responsible for managing and guiding the development of the CommonWell Technical Service Platform. ELLKAY, being the core service and platform provider for CommonWell Health Alliance, ensures interoperability between tens of thousands of Commonwell sites.

This is mission critical to healthcare providers across the country by supporting data exchange of over 238 million patients and growing. You will drive the ideation, elaboration and realization of products and solutions. In the future, this role could have management responsibilities, directing the activities of others to ensure delivery of the vision. This role has significant potential to evolve as we expand our product management team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the approach and development plans of the Commonwell Platform and bridge the strategic and tactical needs of the project
  • Stay abreast of industry development, always thinking about interoperability for current and future CommonWell members
  • Actively participate in committees such as TEFCA and Commonwell
  • Maintain platform plan and key initiatives
  • Translate network policy, procedures and specifications into product requirements with clear criteria to enable development
  • Determine priorities and maintain a clear product roadmap
  • Collaborate with others to research and break down requirements and outline execution plans
  • Align and coordinate multiple development teams and Program Management to ensure organized and coordinated development efforts
  • Help develop product documentation, such as admin and user guides, and training materials
  • Lead cross-functional teams in operational and partner readiness.
  • Support with troubleshooting
  • Define innovations and new opportunities for the platform
  • Use data and KPIs to inform future product development

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of healthcare IT (HIT) market, cases and structures.
  • Understanding of HIT exchange frameworks, networks and their components.
  • Experience with EMPI and RLS
  • Experience with creating software products
  • Experience with designing product strategy and proposals to support ideas.
  • Experience writing requirements and directing the creation of product documentation.
  • People management skills
  • Ability to quickly assimilate large amounts of complex technical information and turn them into opportunities
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving and creative skills; exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Good interpersonal and teamworking skills; display the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across geographies.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delegating as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
  • Experience with software development methodology.
