Asa Lead Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role inensuring the successful execution of AC and DC generator testing activities andthe delivery of high-quality products. You will lead and coordinate a team ofengineers to facilitate testing for product development.

You will report directly to the Engineering Test Services (ETS) manager, andyou'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on an on-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the quality and reliability of our productsthrough effective test engineering practices. You will work withcross-functional teams to review and define test requirements andspecifications, develop and execute test plans and procedures, and analyze testresults to provide valuable insights and recommendations for productimprovements. Your technical guidance and facilitation will empower the testengineers in your team to excel in their roles and deliver high-qualityresults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide the effort of testing development electric generators, creating of cost estimates, integrated schedules, and milestones for test campaigns.
  • Provide direction and oversight for the test team, serving as the owner of program execution and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Guide the prioritization of work packages, design goals, and component/system integrations, taking ownership of the overall execution of the programs.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of documentation and deliverables, ensuring their alignment with program objectives.
  • Use enterprise-based business tools to achieve project planning and cost objectives, taking ownership of the financial aspects of the programs.
  • Meet design objectives and requirements for development hardware and software across multiple COEs, taking ownership of the technical aspects of test programs.
  • Guide a small team of test engineers and technicians, potentially covering multiple locations, taking ownership of the team's performance and success.
  • Mentor others in the application of project scheduling, budgeting, and earned value ethics and tools, sharing your expertise and taking ownership of their development.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineeringprocesses and efficiency
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technicaldiscipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in test engineering or asimilar role
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Excellent decision-making abilities
  • Experience with test methodologies and tools
WE VALUE
  • Knowledge of the design and development of rotating machinery, with a focus on rotating electric machines such as wound field synchronous or permanent magnet motors and generators.
  • Experience guiding the technical effort for development programs.
  • Familiarity with military and commercial aircraft specifications.
  • Familiarity with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
  • Competence to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
  • Self-motivated individuals who are able to work with little supervision and consistently take the initiative to get things done.
