Summary: This role will assist the Quality Manager in maintaining total quality for all products and processes within the manufacturing facility.
Job Description:
- Leads the implementation and maintenance of various platforms and initiatives that are required to maintain and improve the safety, quality, and productivity of production
- Cover multiple product lines as defined by the QM
- Work with QM to develop and implement QA/QC procedures for all product lines
- Perform admin quality control inspections on specialty products
- Assist all quality engineers (inbound/outbound inspection, Continuous Improvement, Product) with any quality-related questions
- Ensure QA procedures are maintained by all operators (work instructions, QC per build station, Automated Testing, etc.)
- Capable of performing all final QC inspections on an as needed basis
- Work with Plant Process & Industrial engineers on implementing ECN's and PCI's into assembly processes
- Work with R&D and Regions on process related issues; paperwork issues, CLI's, and drawing issues that arise
- Work with shipping to ensure products are being packaged and shipped correctly
- Ensure DRs and SNCRs are implemented on the plant floor and communicated to appropriate personnel/departments
- Support third party agency plant audits (UL, ETL, Miami Dade, etc.)
- Support production as needed
- Report to the Quality Manager (QM)
Job Requirements:
- 4+ yrs experience in a manufacturing environment with focus in quality
- 4-year technical degree in a mathematical, mechanical, or electrical oriented curriculum
- Must be a leader, helping other team members to grow their skills and enhance their product knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be meticulous and have exceptional attention to detail
- Multi-tasking and problem solving a must
- Strong desire to please the customer with perfect product quality and to maintain a safe work environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work standing for extended periods of time
- Required to use ladder, forklift or other means to acquire parts for product assembly
- Able to use power & hand tools, as well as electrical testing and measuring equipment
- Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds independently
