Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a project works schedule as part of the technical submission and the Project Execution Plan (PEP) for the project execution
- Plan and organize the setup of project baseline and implement a plan to track against the baseline on a regular basis
- Develop cost, schedule, and commercial baseline
- Provide technical and administrative direction, coordination, evaluation, training, and coaching
- Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
- Supervise the implementation of Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) and/or PMP (Project Management Professional) would be considered an asset
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in project controls, project analyst experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility in terms of project size and sophistication
- Experience as a scheduler/planner on medium to large size heavy civil projects is required
- Experience with advanced scheduling principles using Primavera 6 (P6), MS Project or other related system applications is required
- Experience with Power BI
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Ability to handle large project schedules with multiple activities and integrate to or from other owner or joint venture partner schedulesAdvance knowledge in scheduling software is required, including P6 scheduling software, Microsoft Project, Primavera Risk Analysis (or similar)
- 3D and 4D modelling experience will be considered an asset
- Proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of French will be considered an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- High attention to deatil
- Ability to multitask and work underpressure
