Purpose
Czinger vehicles is embarking on the exciting journey of producing fully homologated and crash validated vehicles and is looking for an MBD Simulation Engineer who will focus on the analysis of vehicle suspension and structures to support design, dynamics and durability teams.
We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Performance Simulation Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing full vehicle simulations using tools such as CarMaker, VI-CarRealTime, or Chassis Sim. You will play a critical role in setting simulation standards and integrating system models from body, chassis, powertrain, tires, and other subsystems to optimize vehicle performance and enhance overall vehicle dynamics.

The Role
- Develop and implement full vehicle simulation models to predict and optimize vehicle performance characteristics.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate subsystem models (body, chassis, powertrain, tires, etc.) into comprehensive vehicle simulation environments.
- Define simulation standards and best practices to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in vehicle performance simulations.
- Conduct virtual tests and analyses to assess lap time, handling, ride comfort, fuel efficiency, and other performance metrics.
- Validate simulation results against physical test data and iterate models as needed to improve correlation and accuracy.
- Provide technical expertise and support to engineering teams throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in vehicle simulation methodologies and tools.
- Create and lead simulation toolset development for the engineering organization.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in vehicle performance simulation using tools such as CarMaker, VI-CarRealTime, ChassisSim or similar.
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics principles and their application in virtual simulation environments.
- Experience integrating and validating subsystem models (body, chassis, powertrain, tires) within full vehicle simulations.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, MATLAB) for automation and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret simulation results and make data-driven recommendations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Develops thorough understanding and passion for Divergent and Czinger Vehicles
- You are passionate about sustainability and cleantech
- Familiarity with simulation software for specific vehicle subsystems (e.g., AVL EXCITE for powertrain simulation).
- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics testing and validation processes.
- Experience with vehicle dynamics modeling and simulation techniques.
- Passion for automotive technology and innovation.
- Master's degree preferred.
