We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer who is excited to apply their talents to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our customer's satellite ground system program. The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on technical expertise with an excellent understanding of technical engineering concepts. You have demonstrated experience in leading a team while writing consistently high-quality code using industry best practices.
Position location is on-site at prime's location in Broomfield, CO 5 days per week.

Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role $140,000 - $200,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and education / certifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hands-on software engineer, team lead, scrum master, and product owner of small development team on a classified satellite ground system program
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as software architects, program managers, designers, and other engineers to design, develop and test software solution that meet the needs of our customers
- Analyze user requirements and develop software specifications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows software development best practices
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers
- Debug and fix issues
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality
- Deploy software applications to production environments
- Maintain and update software applications to ensure they meet user needs and remain secure
- Develop and maintain documentation
Required Skills and Experience:
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI eligible
- This position requires an Active DOD TS clearance with SCI eligibility
- Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required
- Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen
- BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field
- 10+ years of experience in a software engineering role, to include experience in a lead engineering role
- An advanced degree (eg: Masters, PhD) may be substituted for two years of experience
- Professional hands-on software engineering experience in the following
- Full stack Java development
- Spring Framework / Boot, Hibernate
- AWS - DynamoDB (Redis), ElastiCache, SQS, SNS, RDS (Postgres), S3, Lambda
- Streaming data experience, byte and bitwise parsing, Netty framework
- Docker, Kubernetes usage
- Cucumber
Desired Qualifications:
- Security+ Certified
- Detail-oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
