Honeywell's Aerospace Platforms Center ofExcellence has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Lead SoftwareEngineer. This role involves low levelSW development of board support packages, including RTOS integration, devicedriver development and debugging of HW and SW in the development on aerospaceelectronic systems. We create the systems that support application levelengineering for products such as guidance and navigation, satellite payloadprocessing and military avionics.

You will work with the team that brings the electronicshardware up and provides the low-level software to the product COEs forapplication teams to develop their applications on. Your work will extend toevery product in the entire electronics world of aerospace.

Be part of a team thatdesigns, develops and integrates highly complex software functions withinHoneywell Aerospace. You will be instrumental in designing, planning, coordinatingand leading work teams, as well as providing technical support. You will alsogenerate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novelways to deal with problems and opportunities. You will interface and exchangewith internal and external customers, vendors and suppliers throughout the lifeof the project.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
YOU MUST HAVE
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science-focused line of study
-10+ years of Embedded SW Development Experience (Full life cycle)
-Strong in Embedded Programming language C, C++
-10+ years of experience with Platform SW development includes low level hardware drivers, communications and Real Time -Operating System integration

WE VALUE
-Strong experience with Embedded RTOSs, such as VxWorks, Linux, Integrity, Deos
-Strong experience in networking and computer communications
-Strong Aerospace embedded software development experience
-Assembly language experience
-Experience in engine controls, cabin pressure, and associated tooling performed to DO-178C level A standards.
-SW verification and certification experience
-Experience with DO-178 B/C
-Understanding various software development lifecycle
-Ability to lead and manage large software development teams
-Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
-Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
-Effective communicator with a wide degree of creativity and latitude
-Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
-Ability to find the correct balance between demand and capacity when establishing priorities for the organization.
