Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary:

Architect, develop and maintain full stack web-based applications. Work within an agile methodology to complete projects within committed timelines. Mentor coworkers on software craftsmanship, proper SDLC behaviors and best practices while advancing overall team behaviors and practices, including reducing technical debt and increasing automated testing code coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new modules and features in accordance with best practices and with high quality
• Architect / design net new functionality
• Champion the peer code review process
• Guide other team members within the agile software development process
• Mentor others on industry trends, best practices and technology developments
• Effectively collaborate with business stakeholders to understand desired scope and solve business problems
• Solution & task estimation
• All other job duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills:

• Must have significant experience with Cloud Native Development (AWS preferred)
• Proficient in multiple programming languages and technologies, including:
• PHP
• Laravel
• React.js
• TypeScript
• JavaScript
• GoLang
• Relational Database Management Systems & SQL
• GraphQL and/or REST
• Capacity to apply critical thinking and an analytical mindset to solve problems
• Excellent communication skills
• Version control with GitHub
• Agile framework expertise
• Capacity to set application/solution architectural direction

Desired Skills:

• 10+ years experience in software engineering
• Experience advancing DevOps practices
