Lead Software Engineer (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ):
Build software functionality and participate actively in the delivery team by taking on development responsibilities for the entire tech stack. Contribute across several other technical activities such as DevOps and quality of the product while working closely with the Product Owner to refine acceptance criteria of stories. Work with broader project issues and plans for the full scope, across design, development, testing, business engagement, and team leadership. Attend all meetings with business analysts and stakeholders for requirement gathering, clarifications, and to track the business requirements. Lead agile ceremonies like daily scrum, sprint retrospective, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization. Create proof-of-concepts on improving and building new or re-designing existing digital applications. Lead all phases of application development and implementation process including analysis, design, development, testing and ongoing maintenance. Develop microservices, modular UI components and cloud-native capabilities to achieve business goals. Ensure application quality, performance, availability, scalability, and integrity. Resolve defects and production issues in a timely manner. Coordinate with Prudential's internal teams to support integration between Prudential and its external partners. Provide technical mentorship to other developers. Participate in technical communities of practice to share best practices and patterns among teams.
Telecommuting permitted up to 100% per week. Candidate may reside and work from anywhere in the U.S.
Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, and 5 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, and 7 years of related post-baccalaureate work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in all of the following:
- Salesforce.
