Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for a Lead Software Quality Assurance to join our Mount Pearl, NL office

Full-Time - Permanent | Job Reference: KRSI-2024-41

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate software QA activities.
  • Initiate requirements tracing and map those into the QA process (automatic and manual testing)
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Project teams to assess QA tasks and engage in project review and status meetings.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute software and hardware-related test cases and test suites.
  • Implement a plan and framework to automate existing manual test cases.
  • Ensure that quality issues and defects are identified, documented, tracked and resolved.
  • Become very familiar with the Kraken line of products, including both software and hardware components.
  • Record QA results in an issue tracking system (Jira, Asana) and/or version control system (Subversion, Git), as appropriate.
  • Validate Kraken product documentation.
  • Be a role model and mentor for team members while setting performance standards.
  • Work with various software teams in an Agile/Scrum environments to ensure the timely development and delivery of Kraken products.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of three years' experience leading a team of software QA specialists/testers.
  • A minimum of eight years' experience in a software QA role.
  • Ability to develop and execute exploratory tests, regression tests, and automated tests, to ensure product quality.
  • Ability to develop test plans, test cases, automated scripts as well as traceability matrices.
  • Knowledge of different scripting languages and coding best practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong ability and desire to learn and use new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as effectively within a team environment.
  • High degree of organization, incredible attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • A technical background.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum would be considered an asset.
