This role will assess latency, infrastructure, cloud feasibility, and future scalability while ensuring minimal operational disruption. Job Duties -
Latency & Infrastructure Optimization - Measure current vs. proposed system latency, working with technology and network teams to maintain reliability while optimizing costs.
On-Site Analysis & Business Engagement - Travel to distribution centers to assess real-world performance, gather feedback, and align technology with business needs.
Cloud & Cost Analysis - Evaluate on-prem vs. cloud deployment, including TCO, ROI, and payback periods.
Future Readiness & Industry Benchmarking - Assess WMS's scalability for future automation, logistics, and fulfillment needs, benchmarking against Amazon, Walmart, and Kroger.
Custom vs. Proprietary WMS Evaluation - Define costs, resources, and feasibility for customizing third-party WMS vs. building a proprietary solution.
Technical Leadership & Solution Development - Lead latency testing and collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and business teams for actionable insights.
Vendor Collaboration & Issue Resolution - Facilitate vendor assessments, ensuring access to data, stakeholders, and testing environments while removing roadblocks.
Job Requirements -
10+ years in supply chain tech, WMS optimization, or IT strategy.
Expertise in network performance, system latency, and infrastructure scalability.
Strong business-technology alignment and ability to drive executive-level recommendations.
Experience in on-site assessments and cross-functional leadership.
Desired Skills & Experience -
Need to take ownership and drive project on their own. Fast paced, self starter
