Description:

Design, build, launch, optimize and extend full-stack data and business intelligence solutions spanning extraction, storage, complex transformation and visualization layers. Develop big data analytics and cloud-based applications to facilitate the work of data scientists and application developers. Assess, capture and translate complex business issues and solution requirements into structured technical tasks for the data engineering team, including rapid learning of industry standards and development of effective work stream plans. Support build of big data environments that enable analytics solutions on a variety of big data platforms, including assessing the usefulness of new technologies and advocating for their adoption. Serve as the primary point of contact for question and escalations related to data architecture and solutions applicable to business problems or use cases. Pursue business development opportunities. Establish and maintain client relationships and professional networks.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Creating and maintaining ETL and ELT pipelines operating on Application Programming Interface (API), File Transfer Protocol (FTP) sites, cloud-based blob stores, databases, unstructured data, and Geographic Information system (GIS) data; Performing operational programming tasks, including version control, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), testing and quality assurance and within cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP; Cloud platform including Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Data Factory; SDLC methodologies including Agile and Azure DevOps; and Using at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Scala, R, Java, Golang, Kotlin, C, or C++.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following: Using Apache data projects including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Airflow.
