Full Job Description: Lead Speech Pathologist
Grade: Educational Grade 5 | EG-5
Tulsa Public Schools' existing salary schedules provide career increment adjustments based on education/experience and/or years of creditable service. Position Summary: Provides oversight to speech and language service providers at assigned
school(s). Provide technical assistance to area special education coordinators to ensure that
services provided within the district are of the highest quality and delivered in an efficient and
effective manner. Complete monthly status report of services provided by speech and language
pathologist. Provide leadership and technical assistance to the executive director regarding
policies and procedures in the provision of speech and language therapy services. Organizes
and delivers a monthly schedule of staff development training specifically designed for speech
and language pathologists. Complete the necessary performance evaluations of speech
personnel in alignment with the district evaluation tool. Routinely audit services provided to
ensure that quality standards are being met. Maintain knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures and maintain reports on billing on a monthly basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology
Experience:
Five (5) years of leadership experience in a school setting
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.:
Possess or ability to obtain an Oklahoma speech pathology teaching certification within
one year of employment
Highly skilled and knowledgeable in the field of speech language pathology
Must have a working knowledge of IDEA and the Oklahoma Policies and Procedure for
special education
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
