As part of our Engineering department, we are looking for a Project Senior or Lead Offshore Method Engineer to integrate the Project Installation Engineering team during execution.
Lead Subsea Installation Engineer Responsibilities
- Support the Project Installation Engineering team during project execution
- Report to the Installation Engineering Manager
- Ensure quality and accuracy of all installation engineering activities
- Propose and implement effective offshore construction solutions
- Participate in design reviews to define installation methodology
- Attend project meetings including progress, HSE, and technical coordination
- Interface with clients, subcontractors, and internal departments
- Prepare and manage installation procedures, technical memos, and queries
- Provide technical input for reports and presentations
- Coordinate and follow up on drafting and documentation activities
- Specify and oversee installation aids, equipment, and materials
- Develop and track time estimates, operational schedules, and system descriptions
- Maintain and update the Master Document Register (MDR)
- Review and support subcontractor documentation and FAT/SIT/OT procedures
- Integrate supplier and fabrication documentation into project records
- Provide onshore support during readiness checks, load-outs, and construction yard activities
- Offer offshore technical support during installation preparation and execution
- Modify procedures onboard when necessary and support crew presentations
- Attend daily and pre-job meetings offshore as needed
- Collect and report lessons learned and return-of-experience data
- Minimum Undergraduate degree from an accredited university in engineering (Structural, Mechanical, Civil, Etc.) .
- 8-10 years minimum of significant experience in the offshore Oil and Gas or Offshore Wind industry
- Willing to spend a short time (1-4 weeks) offshore on board installation vessels supporting offshore operations
- This position requires technical and relational skills.
