Job Title: Lead Template Developer

Position Overview:

The Lead Template Developer plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining NextGen EHR templates and documents to meet the diverse needs of our clients. This role will leverage expertise in both existing and new template development, ensuring seamless integration and customization of NextGen EHR solutions. Additionally, the role will be responsible for the development and support of NextGen documents, Crystal Reports, and SQL stored procedures, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. While experience with EHR and PM systems beyond NextGen is highly desirable, the role's primary focus is on optimizing NextGen solutions to enhance client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Template Development:
  • Collaborate with clients to define specifications for new templates and customize existing ones.
  • Manage, customize, and develop templates to meet specific organizational requirements.
  • Oversee picklist management to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Document Development:
  • Handle header management and develop custom macros for enhanced functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve document-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Crystal Reports:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Crystal Reports using the client's EHR as the primary data source.
  • SQL Development:
  • Create, manage, and optimize SQL stored procedures to support data operations.
  • Troubleshoot and customize standard stored procedures to resolve bugs and improve performance.
  • NextGen Maintenance:
  • Maintain configurations, including provider, pharmacy, medication, and CPT/SIM libraries.
  • Manage DBPicklist, eRx, ePCS, and PDMP functionalities.
  • NextGen Practice Management:
  • Develop memorized reports and address report-related issues.
  • Manage fee ticket processes and billing maintenance to ensure accurate financial operations.
  • NextGen System Administration:
  • Maintain user accounts and universal preferences, ensuring secure and efficient system access.
  • BBP Management:
  • Develop schedules, maintain job configurations, and manage vendor connections to optimize business processes.
  • Ancillary Services:
  • Manage and integrate ancillary services, including BBP (background business processor), ODP (offline document processor), NCS, Rosetta, Advanced Audit, and vendor integrations, to expand client capabilities.

Qualifications:
  • Strong proficiency in the NextGen EHR/PM ecosystem is required.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Crystal Reports, and other relevant NextGen integrated technologies.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
