We are seeking a Lead Transportation Engineer to serve as the technical lead and assistant project manager on roadway and traffic projects.

This position will report to our Springfield, MA office, but your location is up to you! Key Responsibilities

This professional will take the lead during conceptual, preliminary, and final design of a vast array of infrastructure and community development projects, and mentor and train less experienced engineers. The Lead Transportation Engineer will also contribute to the preparation of project budgets and schedules; organize and participate in internal and external meetings; and independently plan, analyze, and evaluate design aspects of various transportation projects. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow the team and transportation department.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation Engineering
  • Typically requires 5-10 years of experience
  • P.E. registration is required
  • Proficiency with Civil3D and AutoCAD; Experience with Microstation a plus
  • Previous construction experience a plus
  • Previous consulting, state agency, or public works/municipality experience preferred
