Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Backend Engineer with extensive experience in designing and architecting backend solutions for large-scale systems.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and NoSQL databases, along with experience in cloud technologies.

This role will focus more on design and architecture rather than hands-on coding, making it a strategic position for those with leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect backend systems for insurance and SMS messaging projects for retail campaigns.
• Lead the technical design and decision-making process for large-scale backend applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and scalable solutions.
• Oversee and guide the backend development team, ensuring adherence to best practices in design and architecture.
• Drive the implementation of best practices in backend engineering for cloud-based systems.
• Focus on performance, reliability, and scalability in system architecture.

Required Qualifications

• 14 years of experience in software engineering, with 4 years of experience working as a lead.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of Kafka and Kubernetes (nice to have).
• Proven ability to design and architect backend solutions for large-scale systems.
• Strong understanding of system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with retail campaigns or insurance projects.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud technologies.
• Experience in leading and mentoring backend engineering teams.
