Role Summary/ purpose:
The Lean Manufacturing Engineer is a highly hands on role where you will support production teams to achieve their goals and continuously improve performance. You will partner with manufacturing, facilities, planning, product development, sales, and others providing technical support and lean expertise and guidance. You will become an expert in lean methodology, our products' construction, manufacturing equipment, and manufacturing processes. You will utilize that expertise to guide teams to improve all aspects of production.

You will utilize that expertise to guide teams to improve all aspects of production.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple projects applying lean tools to develop a culture of continuous improvement
- Analyze current processes and data to prioritize short- and long-term improvement opportunities
- Develop and implement control plans and relevant metrics providing hour by hour reporting for manufacturing teams
- Utilize data to improve processes, equipment performance, production layouts, materials, etc. to reduce waste and improve efficiency and quality
- Develop process flow and value stream maps for multiple products/ SKUs
- Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products
- Review processes and procedures to preserve and improve employee safety
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or related field
- 3 plus years of experience working in a professional manufacturing environment
- Experience with project management and familiarity with project management tools
- Experience identifying, defining, interpreting, and resolving engineering problems involving conflicting design/policy or technical requirements
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Excellent organization, planning, and follow up skills
- Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong Excel and BI user experience
- Continuous improvement mindset that is open to the best ideas from anywhere
