KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a Lean Process Manager for our Plastics Department and product lines at our Green Bay manufacturing facility.

The Lean Process Manager supervises manufacturing activities of technicians as well as maintains product responsibilities for on-time delivery, maintaining minimum lead times, maintaining schedules, and meeting high quality standards, while maintaining the goals and objectives of KI. The selected candidate will be managing technicians across 3 shifts during the week and 2 weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring day to day activities of technicians, balancing labor and schedules for their departments.
  • Communicate with other Process Managers and Managers on a daily basis
  • Maintain open channel of communication with production technicians (direct reports)
  • Manage processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, and work procedures.
  • Communicate with customer service on any quality or field repair issues
  • Conduct meetings with employees to keep them informed of team goals, policies, plans and changes.
  • Coach and appraise employees against goals and discipline employees when necessary.
  • Training new employees in KI philosophies and methods.
  • Day to day inventory control/reconciliation, annual cycle counting duties, communicating and training technicians on maintaining correct inventory in the department.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or business is preferred
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Preferred Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including off shift and weekend
