Learning and Development Manager
Purpose:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Learning & Development Manager to design, implement, and scale learning programs that support our workforce across multiple locations. This role will focus on developing engaging, accessible training solutions that drive operational excellence, enhance safety culture, and foster employee growth. The ideal candidate will leverage digital technology and implement innovative learning solutions to enhance engagement, productivity, and knowledge retention. This role will be a strategic individual contributor with significant influence & collaboration across farms, plant manufacturing and corporate support functions.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; be able to bend, stoop, kneel or crawl; reach grasp and lift up to 25lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally. Available for regular scheduled travel to remote facilities via automobile or airline.

The ideal candidate will leverage digital technology and implement innovative learning solutions to enhance engagement, productivity, and knowledge retention. This role will be a strategic individual contributor with significant influence & collaboration across farms, plant manufacturing and corporate support functions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a learning strategy that supports business objectives, compliance, and workforce development.
- Design and deliver training programs tailored to diverse employee groups, from frontline workers to leadership with a heavy focus in leveraging technology with a focus on learner-centered experienced and interactive modals for dispersed, multilingual workforce.
- Leverage digital technology and learning platforms to create innovative, engaging training solutions for a dispersed workforce.
- Implement technology-driven learning experiences that boost engagement and productivity.
- Partner with farms, operations, HR, IT, and safety teams to align training with business needs.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness through metrics and continuous improvement.
- Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships for external training resources.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in food manufacturing, agriculture, or related industries.
- Strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training delivery.
- Expertise in hands on designing and implementing digital learning solutions, including LMS, e-learning, and virtual training tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including but not limited to, MS Word, Excel, Power Point,
- Intermediate knowledge of authoring tools for e-learning
- Ability to travel as needed to support in-person training and site visits to enable design of excellent learner experiences.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with managing & use of Alchemy preferred.
