Lease Portfolio Manager

Overview

The Lease Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management and administration of the company's lease portfolio. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to analyze leases and effectively communicate with landlords, sublessees, and internal stakeholders. The Lease Portfolio Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of lease data, ensuring compliance with lease terms, and supporting various departments with lease-related information and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Lease Data Management - Prepare abstracts and ensure the timely and accurate maintenance of lease and sublease information within the Costar system.

Landlord and Sublessee Relations: Serve as the primary contact for landlords and sublessees regarding lease and renewal negotiations, including disputed charges, repair and maintenance requests and TIA reimbursements.

Compliance Support: Assist in the completion of Occupancy SOX controls by participating in monthly or semi-monthly meetings with accounting team to review Real Estate activity and ensure completeness of communications.

Finance Support: Assist finance team with forecasting requests to understand lease terms and anticipate changes.

Coordination with Risk Management: Work with the Risk Management team to ensure that insurance requirements are met on all lease agreements.

Loss Prevention Coordination: Collaborate with the Loss Prevention team to address security concerns and related costs when evaluating new and renewed leases.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in lease management, real estate, or property management.
  • Proficiency in Costar lease management systems.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lease agreements and legal documentation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in the restaurant or retail industry is a plus
