Position overviewAt the earliest possible date, allnex is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel Americas, reporting to the General Counsel, while being a member of the allnex global Legal Services team with hubs in Alpharetta, Brussels, Shanghai, Frankfurt and Kuala Lumpur. This position will be based in Alpharetta, GA. The Legal Counsel Americas will provide varied legal advice regarding all aspects of allnex business activities in the region.
Responsibilities- Provide efficient and responsive delivery of legal counsel, advice and guidance supportive of allnex's business objectives and operations in the Americas.
- Draft, review, and negotiate strategic contracts; manage litigation cost-effectively; provide advice on environmental legal matters; oversee regional corporate housekeeping; and handle corporate and occasional M&A transactions.
- Active contribution to keeping our legal matter management database up to date.
- Be a trusted partner of internal stakeholders.
- Help ensuring that the business maintains high standards of ethical conduct and regulatory compliance.
- Provide occasional internal training on legal and compliance matters.
- Monitor statutory and regulatory developments with potential impact on the allnex business.
- 5-7 years of practical legal counsel experience in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Experience with international exposure in a global company.
- Travel required, mainly domestically (US) and occasional internationally (Americas outside US, Europe) - estimated approximately less than 10 % of the time.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Membership in a state bar association required.
