The Role
Palantirs in-house legal team works to proactively address legal issues and enable the growth of our business so that Palantir can continue to drive positive impact in the world. Legal Operations is the backbone of the legal team and is key to fulfilling Palantirs mission. As a Legal Operations Specialist, you will be a driving force of innovation, scale, technology and automation. You will be responsible for building, streamlining, and executing on strategic processes and operational functions of the legal team. You will work with other Legal Operations teammates to help implement key systems, optimize processes, manage projects, and create objectives and performance metrics. You will also partner closely with Palantirs attorneys and paralegals to understand the needs and develop and execute solutions that scale alongside the business. This position requires a combination of project management, process optimization, and execution skills.

Core Responsibilities- Execute legal operational workflows and procedures, looking for ways to continuously improve and drive efficiency
- Implement legal processes, strategic initiatives and team-wide projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements, including reporting and dashboard creation
- Scale the operations, systems, and ongoing innovation of the legal team in partnership with existing Legal Operations leaders and teammates
- Craft and implement processes to reduce friction and enable team members, leaders, and business counterparts to spend time on what they do best
- Passion for legal operations and learning enterprise technology; energized by the challenges of serving a growing a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve processes and tools to enhance efficiency and drive results
- Evidence of proactive, efficient and resourceful project or program management skills
- Experience building cross-functional relationships with key resources and business partners across a legal team, advising, influencing decisions, managing change, and balancing multiple business function priorities
- Extraordinary judgment and composure in high-pressure situations
- A creative approach to project management centered around lightweight frameworks that enable rapid iteration and low-overhead methods
- 3+ years of project/program management experience, preferably in a fast-paced or dynamic legal team environment
- Experience with technical tooling and data analysis project management software
- Meticulous attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records and diligently tracking key project metrics
- Implementing and scaling legal technology solutions (e.g. contract and document management, workflow automation, spend management, e-signature processes, amongst others)
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $90,000 - $110,000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individuals relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors. This estimate excludes the value of any potential sign-on bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any long-term incentives.
