Description:

The firm is looking for an experienced litigation paralegal to help manage the caseload for the firm's attorneys, as well as supervise our case clerk team of four junior staff who support paralegal work at the firm. This Supervising Paralegal position also involves the opportunity to help develop systems and processes for the firm's growing practice.

Applicants should have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program
  • 4 or more years of substantial litigation experience in state and federal trial courts
  • Experience with or strong desire for supervising junior staff
  • Excellent research and writing skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills; and exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Expertise in Adobe Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, calendaring software, Westlaw, electronic filing systems in state and federal court (and related e-filing portals), transcript management software, and electronic discovery databases (e.g., Everlaw)
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
  • A sense of humor, camaraderie, curiosity, grit, and adventure
  • Outstanding references


The Supervising Paralegal will have the following responsibilities:
  • Supervise the case clerk team, providing guidance on paralegal functions and professional development
  • Participate in strategic planning with firm leadership to ensure that the case clerk program aligns with the firm's objectives
  • Manage discovery, including complex electronic discovery and third-party subpoenas, in multiple cases simultaneously
  • Support and manage document collections and productions
  • Prepare, file, and serve pleadings in state and federal court, as well as in arbitrations, including preparing cite checks and tables of authorities and contents
  • Organize exhibits and other supporting documents for depositions, hearings, arbitration, and trial
  • Provide support during arbitration and trial, including preparation of witness binders and witness coordination, and interfacing with court personnel and third-party vendors
