Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage case files and essential documents for various litigation matters to support attorneys.
- Review and draft routine legal documents ensuring accuracy and relevance to the cases at hand.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and contribute effectively in case strategy meetings.
- Manage attorneys' schedules meticulously, ensuring all deadlines are met and sending timely reminders to improve efficiency.
- Act as a liaison, relaying messages efficiently between legal teams and external contacts such as clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
- Maintain and update the legal library and case management software to ensure accessibility and the security of information.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or a Paralegal certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a litigation setting, with hands-on experience in managing complex cases.
- Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities for interacting with team members and external parties.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information and handle sensitive material with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in civil, administrative or employment law is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Experience in preparing trial binders and assisting in courtroom settings.
- Adept at drafting and proofreading legal documents with precision.
- Capacity to work independently and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
