Description:

The Loan Review Portfolio Analyst contributes to the identification of overall credit risks
with Busey Bank ("Bank") through the development, implementation, and
management of the Bank's stress testing and loan portfolio analytics programs
designed to identify emerging risks and trends within the Bank's loan
portfolio.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of
    updated regulatory expectations related to stress testing and portfolio risk
    management (portfolio analytics).
  • Develop and prepare the annual stress testing
    risk assessment and testing schedule.
  • Lead the development of stress testing and
    credit portfolio analytic programs, which will provide Senior Management and
    the Board of Directors with reporting and analyses that enhances risk and
    portfolio management for the loan portfolio.
  • Manage and/or perform stress testing
    procedures based on approved testing schedule, which may involve calculating
    and analyzing various loan metrics where system data is limited.
  • Determine stress testing outsourcing
    needs. Identify and coordinate with
    third-party stress testing vendors/consultants, as needed.
  • Lead in the selection, implementation and
    ongoing use of stress testing systems, as needed.
  • Analyze stress testing results and identify
    the potential impacts that are reported to Senior Management, Board of
    Directors, auditors, and examiners.
  • Research and collect market data and
    market/industry emerging credit risks trends.
  • Develop, prepare and monitor key loan
    portfolio metrics based on historical, peer, and benchmark data to identify
    existing and emerging risks within the Bank's loan portfolio.
  • Analyze the potential impact of changes
    within the Bank's loan portfolio, markets, industry, and/or regulatory
    environment to identify emerging risks or trends.
  • Prepare written and/or oral reports to be
    provided to EVP/Risk Management and Audit Committee.

    loan portfolio and identify potential current credit risks
  • Present complex analyses succinctly
  • Perform duties in a timely, efficient,
    and accurate manner
Education
  • 4-year college degree in a Finance- or
    Accounting-related field
  • 5-7 years of banking experience, with
    working knowledge of the credit analysis and risk metrics
  • Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of
    databases, management information systems, and banking systems through college
    course work and/or job experience
  • Experience with PCs and
    database/spreadsheet/word processing software required.
