POSITION SUMMARY:

This role will have overall accountability for the Bank's Commercial Loan Services department including the documentation, closing, and servicing of the Banks portfolio of commercial loans. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of Commercial Loan Services, insuring efficiency, compliance, and risk management within the department. The role will manage a team, analyzing operational performance, and implementing solutions to improve processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Managing Commercial Loan Services (100%)
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating duties and work functions in the Commercial Loan Services department which duties include, but not limited to: Preparation of loan documentation, review and verifying legal documents including but not limited to Formation documents, and existence of Borrower Entities. Review preliminary reports, flood determination, lease agreements and other related collateral documents. Coordinate with legal counsel on special internal and external documents. Update Loan tickler system to reflect up to date loan information provided by lending unit. Review loan closing team daily processing work. Conduct Laser Pro documentation testing upon release of updated versions.
  • Coach colleagues to drive performance improvement and use personal development plans to help individuals review development and measure improvements in performance.
  • Analyze operations of the department for effectiveness and identify consolidation or redistribution of duties because of streamlining process.
  • Influence decision makers by persuasively presenting thoughts and ideas to gain commitment and agreement on proposed solutions.
  • Create procedural controls to maintain a high level of data quality and a state of internal and external audit readiness.
  • Ensure the department functions are processed efficiently, and staff adheres to policies, procedures, and in compliance with Regulations.
  • Hire, train, coach, and manage operations staff, collaborating with the team to meet department objectives. Includes ensuring appropriate staffing levels, monitoring work, managing disciplinary issues, and writing performance appraisals.
  • Collaborating and supporting commercial lending servicing needs with Retail Bank and Commercial Lending teams.


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adherence to all compliance programs including but not limited to; completion of required training modules by established due dates.
  • Draft new procedures and provide updates to existing procedures as needed for the purpose of streamlining operational functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Education, Experience and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of commercial loans, including collateral monitoring over the life of the loan (including insurance, flood insurance, UCC's, real estate taxes, paid loans) is preferred.
  • 5 years of management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Power Point required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing thirty pounds or less.


COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Standard office environment. Noise level in the work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $125,000.00/Yr. - USD $160,000.00/Yr plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
