Job Description:
- Provide 24/7 coverage from 6/15-8/15 with in-house hours from 7 am to 5 pm and call from 5 pm to 7 am.
- Offer intermittent coverage from 8/15-9/10, including weekends, call, and day shifts.
- Conduct one half-day ortho clinic weekly for indigent populations, seeing about 5-10 patients.
- Deliver 24-hour call coverage with a call ratio of 1:3 and a minimum of 10 days of call coverage monthly, potentially 14 days.
- Work in a hospital-based, level 2 trauma center setting.
- Manage an average of 3-5 surgical cases per day in the hospital and see an average of 6 patients during clinic days.
- Handle orthopedic surgical cases for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients, focusing on general orthopedic trauma care.
- Perform procedures such as total joint replacement and hip joint revision or repair.
- Utilize the Cerner EMR system for documentation.
- Collaborate with a private practice of 10 orthopedic providers in a setting with 7 operating rooms.
- Hospital does not provide pediatric care at this time.
