Overview LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (EO/IR 2025-22292): Bowhead seeks a Logistics Management Specialist to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division (NSWC-Crane). The Logistics Management Specialist will Provide programmatic and Life Cycle Logistics support for current Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects managed by the Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD) including programmatic services, procurement documentation development, budget formulation, financial execution and tracking, and technical writing. Contractor shall provide project management support including, but not limited to, the following: coordination of project operations including management of records, schedules, and correspondence; analytical support; deliverables tracking; task management; and support the development of milestones and objectives for current projects. Responsibilities Essential functions will include: * Provide innovative, well designed, and integrated approaches for Advance Planning / Naval Modernization Planning support for EO/IR projects. * Assist and advise the Advance Planning Lead, but shall not make final decisions * Prepare and maintain a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) (CDRL A012) for new and ongoing EO/IR Advance Planning tasks. * Assist in the overall support to the Naval Modernization Planning (NMP) process by providing the EOTD's Advance Planning Lead with general program management and installation pre-planning efforts, program reviews, installation task planning and coordination support as well as tracking of progression through NMP Management Operations Manual (NMP-MOM) milestones to include Regional Maintenance and Management Coordination Office (RMMCO) check-in support. * Schedule and coordinate all alteration installations upon concurrence with Advance Planning Leadership, liaison with Ships Executive Officer (XO) and copy Operations (OPS), Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO), AIT Manager, System Program Manager (SPM), Planning Yards, Availability Managers, Type Command (TYCOM), Port Engineers, and Program Sponsor, PARM, and Fleet Forces to execute assigned duties. * Ensure the installation work packages are developed and schedule actual installation dates with the appropriate unit, availability manager, TYCOM, and Immediate Superior in Command (ISIC). Submit Work Package via Regional Maintenance and Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO) to the Regional Maintenance Center/Port Engineer for all Ship Alternations (SHIPALTs). * Preparing the weekly installation status report and submit the report to the EOTD AIT Manager and Installation Team members to include information on Installations scheduled, current status of all installations in progress, Installations scheduled to start in the following week, All Advance Planning Maturity requirements that will miss their milestone, Completed Installations, & schedule for AIT/On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSICs) * Document the findings prior to initializing the installation via email to the Government Installation Lead. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications * Bachelors' Degree with five (5) to eight (8) years of experience * Experience in DOD Logistics, Acquisition and Program Support
* Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint * Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts * Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Physical Demands: * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds * Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time * Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. #LI-DNI
